We started Mainstay because buying basics online in South Africa had become a gamble.

Shein had the price. Temu had the variety. But sizing was a coin flip and quality fell apart after one wash. You'd order a medium and get a large that went see-through. Return it? Good luck.

Mainstay is the answer to that frustration. We make one thing: everyday basics for the whole family : women, men, kids, and babies, at prices that make sense. Under R199. Every item.

But price is not the point. The point is fit. We size consistently, we test for durability before we sell, and we tell you exactly what you're getting before you buy.
